Dentistry

Dental care is an important part of your pet’s overall health. A visit can help you understand what is happening in your dog’s or cat’s mouth and whether further dental care is appropriate.

What we can talk through

  • A discussion of breath, chewing changes, or visible changes to the teeth and gums
  • An oral assessment and recommendations based on what the veterinarian finds
  • A conversation about professional dental care and practical care at home

Planning your visit

If your pet has had dental treatment before, bring those records. Some problems below the gum line cannot be seen during an awake exam, so your veterinarian may discuss additional evaluation and the steps involved.
