Privacy Policy
Effective October 22, 2026
Unity Animal Hospital ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, including the rights California residents have under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Information We Collect
We collect information you give us directly, such as when you call or visit our hospital (for example your name, phone number, and information about your pet). This website has no contact or booking form and does not collect personal information through forms.
When you use the appointment link on our Contact page, you are taken to the Shepherd Pet Portal, a separate service that handles appointment requests. Information you submit there is governed by Shepherd's own privacy policy, not this one.
Cookies, Analytics, and Information Collected Automatically
This site uses a cookie-consent banner. Non-essential cookies and all third-party analytics and advertising tools, PostHog (product analytics),Google Analytics 4 (site-usage analytics) and the Meta Pixel(advertising measurement), load only after you click "Accept" on that banner. If you click "Reject," or take no action, those tools do not load at all: the scripts are never added to the page, so no information is sent to those providers. See ourCookie Policy for the list of cookies.
If you accept, those providers act as our processors and may automatically receive information about your visit, including your IP address, device and browser identifiers, general location derived from your IP address, the pages you view, the time and duration of your visit, and the site or search that referred you. We do not use session-replay recording on this site, and we do not send the contents of anything you type to any third party.
Because analytics load only after consent, the visitor statistics we see are incomplete: we expect them to undercount actual visits by roughly 10-30%, and we treat them as a floor rather than an exact count. We do not try to fill that gap by fingerprinting or by any technique that bypasses your choice.
You can withdraw consent at any time using "Cookie settings" or "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the footer. This clears or changes your stored choice and stops any further loading of those tools.
As of the effective date above, analytics and ad-pixel tracking are not yet active on this site: the infrastructure exists but no provider ID has been configured. This policy will be updated when that changes.
Call Recording
We do not currently use call-tracking or call-recording software. If we begin recording calls made to our published number, we will announce that at the start of the call and disclose it here and near our phone number, as required under California's two-party consent law.
Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and why.
- Request deletion of personal information we hold about you.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
We do not sell your personal information. To the extent analytics or advertising cookies are considered "sharing" under the CCPA once they are active, you can opt out at any time by clicking "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" in the site footer, which withdraws cookie consent immediately.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us atsupport@doc-ads.com or by calling (626) 988-8164. We will respond within the timeframe required by California law.
Third Parties We Work With
Depending on which features are active, information may be shared with:
- Shepherd Pet Portal: appointment requests, only when you use the appointment link on our Contact page.
- PostHog: product analytics, only after you accept cookies; not yet active.
- Google Analytics 4: site-usage analytics, only after you accept cookies; not yet active.
- Meta Pixel: advertising measurement, only after you accept cookies; not yet active.
- Cloudflare: hosts this website and processes requests to serve it.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, and in any case no longer than 24 months, unless a longer period is required to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
